About TriMerge

TriMerge is an engaging number-merging puzzle game that blends simple mechanics with deep strategic thinking. Played on a compact 4×4 grid, the game invites players to combine numbered tiles, create increasingly larger values, and carefully manage limited space.

Unlike many merging puzzles, TriMerge follows a unique rule: tiles numbered 1 and 2 combine to create 3, while all larger numbers can only merge with identical values. This clever twist turns every move into a meaningful decision and rewards players who can think several steps ahead.

Core Gameplay

Your goal is to create the highest numbers possible by merging tiles across the board. The game begins with a mix of 1s, 2s, and 3s. Slide all tiles in one direction to move them across the grid. When a 1 and a 2 collide, they combine to form a 3. From that point forward, only matching multiples of three can merge.

Examples include:

1 + 2 = 3
3 + 3 = 6
6 + 6 = 12
12 + 12 = 24
24 + 24 = 48

After every move, a new tile appears on the board. As the grid fills up, careful planning becomes essential. Creating multiple merges in a single move can free valuable space and increase your score.

Strategies for Higher Scores

Success in TriMerge depends on smart board management. Try to keep your largest numbers grouped together so they can be merged later. Avoid scattering high-value tiles across the board, as this can make future combinations harder to set up.

It is also useful to reserve one corner of the grid for your highest tile and gradually build larger numbers around it. Since every move introduces a new tile, planning several turns ahead is often more valuable than chasing quick merges.
